Rep. Scott Storms Community Discussion in Windsor Locks

Scott Storms is Recognizing Suicide Prevention Awareness Month by holding a Public Community Educational Forum

A panel of community service members will be represented (will update with list in an upcoming post) to discuss what to look for in our youth who might be suffering depression and would be at risk for suicide,

The purpose of the discussion is to assist us in being aware of the signs of a person in crisis, understanding the effects of bullying on our youth and adolescents, and letting us know what community services are available to us to assist with suicide prevention.

Due to the nature of the discussion younger children may not be advisable to attend, but teens might benefit and be able to add to the discussion with their questions.

In light of the recent teen suicides in the state and country any parent or grandparent should consider attending

Mom Endorses Partnership

There are many educational options that are available to those with money but for those in the lower income brackets & higher family expenses there are few options…

If we stop pouring money into the failing public school system & instead focus upon the needs of the students rather than the wants of the public school administrators & teachers unions then positive changes will begin to happen; both in the public schools as they are forced to compete for the students as well for our families & children & our nation as a whole

Better Educated Students (rather than Indoctrinated & Socially Promoted Students) are able to make wiser decisions. They are able to either find work or create their own jobs by going into business for themselves.

With the recent court ruling; ordering CT to fix the problem of the funding of the schools & the disparity of the education offered throughout CT, by having the money follow the students parents will be able to choose the best educational options for their children. What is “Best” for our children many times does not coincide with what is “Best” for the Teachers Union or the promoters of the Common Core materials or what is “Best” for the Testing Companies – all of whom are looking out only for their “Best Interests” which to them are their taxpayer funded Paychecks.

FreedomProject Academy’s Academic Director, Dr. Duke Pesta, was recently doing a radio interview when a parent called to talk about the amazing education her son was receiving from Grace Christian Academy, and online private school partner FreedomProject Academy.

Quitting Smoking using Vaping eCigs 2015

Had this in drafts for the longest time & finally went ahead & published it

We’re in the process of becoming “Successful Quitters”

The only Quitting that is acceptable is quitting an addiction to cigarettes or any other unhealthy habit that has taken a strong hold in our lives.

Although not fully smoke free Hubby is almost & I have cut down on the number which I’ve been smoking with the help of the e-Cigs.

Think that in Jan we’ll try to totally give up the tobacco & just use the vaporizers until we can give those up too.

Anyone looking to also give up smoking in the coming new year? Want to start a “Quit Club”, a support group online & off to get through the rough patches? Any successful quitters want to chime in on how you dealt with the quitting process?

To Trump or not to Trump? by AlfonZo Rachel

With the last debate this week & WikiLeaks almost daily adding new items for the public to view on what #HatefulHillary & the #DNC Campaign teams are doing what are your thoughts on the presidential candidates?

Are you supporting Donald Trump the outsider looking to come in to correct things so that we’ll have more jobs & a Better America

or are you supporting the #StatusQuo with a candidate with blood on her hands & a corrupt history who plans to continue with the current administrations plans with it’s failed policies & decline in jobs & employment opportunities & increased taxes, tyranny & loss of #Freedoms

or have you decided to vote Third Party

Leave your Thoughts & Comments Below

FND: Play Your Part

As we approach the final days before the elections what have you been doing to get yourself educated about the issues & what the candidates actually stand for?

A post from earlier this year I’m sharing here

Cross posted item from another Tillett4CT project

Sonnie Johnson talks some actual history that we in the Black Community need to rethink…
This is an older video of hers & she’s located in another state but as you watch…
Look around you & see if what she is saying can be applied right here to Hartford…
All Politics are Local…
Who have we voted into office?
Town Council, State Level & Federal;
Are they “Working For US” which as elected officials they are Our Employees or just to line their own pockets with an Attitude that they are better than us?
Are we thriving or are we “Just Over Broke”,

Are we Prospering or are we Pinching Pennies?

Ask yourself WHY is that?

What conditions are our schools? Have our children been the priority or is our tax money being syphoned off into schemes & stadium pipedreams?

What is going on in our public schools? With all of the money which has been poured into one “experimental program” after another has the School to Prison Pipeline been shut down or is it still flowing strong?

You Have a Choice this November

the old Status Quo with more of the same results or

a Fresh New Start with eyes that look from the perspective of what it is like to actually have to LIVE under these laws & increasing taxes…
