CT Primary Voting April 26th

People are excited about this election, primaries aren’t normally high in people coming out to vote but there is a big number first time voters & conversions of parties this election so the turnouts are higher than normal…

Did you plan to vote in the Primary on April 26th & were you able to vote?

If you live in CT we have Closed Primaries so You can only vote in the Party Primary that you are REGISTERED With, many people knew that they were either UnAffiliated or Registered with a Different Party & changed to Republican during the proper time period so they could vote in the Primary on April 26th.

Some people did change but not in the proper length of time; which in CT is 90 days prior to a Primary if you are Registered with a Party to change to another party before you can vote in a primary to prevent any funny business with the voting & candidate selections at the conventions.

Sadly there were people that never voted in a primary before so they did not realize that all the years that they have been voting they were actually registered as a Democrat or as UnAffiliated or in one of the many 3rd parties that CT has so that when they showed up to vote their name was not on the book & they weren’t allowed to Vote on Tuesday April 26th.

Were you one of those people?

Were you surprised at your Voter Registration Party Affiliation when the Moderator Called the Registrar of Voters’ office or were you surprised about the rule requiring you to be Registered with the Party in order to vote in the Primary?

Were you given the option to Register into the Party? fed up vote republican

Casinos TollBooths & Taxes Oh My

The General Assembly is in session & the governor started it off with his State of the State speech, with Malloy sounding like the republican candidates who lost the 2014 election for talking points.

After the lies of the last election cycle stating the state budget was fine… then it was made public we were drastically in the hole so not only did not the $55.00 dollar rebates get issued in 2014 but the state was going to need to go into an emergency session to “fix” the problems later on…
TAX on back of bent over man

In 2015 Malloy was caught claiming that he would not propose raising new taxes but… then signing the 2nd largest tax increase in CT’s history. So really no one actually believes the Malloy lie of no tax increases or new taxes being added
ct car license im broke

So to start 2016 Malloy decided to change his talking points & use the republican talking points about needing to not spend money that we do not have.

The question is what will the General Assembly do now?

folded dollars made into house

Some issues that are being spoken about in the news are Casinos & TollBooths & of course the Overbearing Taxes that are driving the major employers Out of the State & along with them their employees who pay both Income & Property Taxes to our state & towns…

Will the General Assembly cut out the excesses & the corporate welfare that has been going on or will they hit the CT Families with additional problems & taxes in Nov after the elections have been secured?

Election Season 2015 & 2016

Primary Day in CT for the Presidential Nominees is a few months away.

While so many eyes are on the interesting events going on at the debates

We do have the local town elections only days away

fed up vote republican

Are you tired of the increasing taxes & less services & failing schools?

Are you tired of the bullying going on at the town hall meetings, closed door deals & being ignored by the elected officials?

Then this election you need to change the make up for the Town Council & Board of Ed

The democrats have been in control for so many years they are arrogant

They ignore the people coming in to the meetings asking questions

They disrespect us when we come in stating our case that We The People Need Tax Breaks & we are hurting

Are you tired of being marginalized when we say we do not want the wasteful spending?

If you are tired of the insults & name calling when you disagree with the democrats…

Then it’s time to Vote in the Entire Republican Slate this year

Change Must Begin With YOUR Vote this year

CT Taxes – Shared Sacrifice – Are You Hurting Enough Yet?

I was talking to a few people over the weekend about the high taxes

Sometimes I wonder exactly what are our elected officials & career politicians are thinking

In Hartford I heard it numerous times that they are tired of everything rising except paychecks

People are exhausted under the burden of trying to survive in CT

Both at the state level & city level people are frustrated that the elected career politicians aren’t listening to what the needs of the people are…

Where are all of our tax dollars being spent?

Why are they talking about paying to move a baseball team when schools are in need of repair?

#AreYouReady for the #CTComeBack ?
#YouHaveAChoice to make will you stay with the status quo or a go with a #FreshNewStart ?

Our State Senate needs to be RETIRED & Fresh Eyes & New Ideas tried in the 2nd District.

While the video below focuses upon the governor, it is the general assembly that makes the laws & the budgets.

The majority of the members have been office for so long they no longer are in touch with the needs or the people;
these are the men & women who need to be voted out of office if you are tired of the status quo.

#RememberInNovember the people who are in office now are the very same ones that voted to steal your children’s chocolate milk & raise the taxes on the gas & your paycheck.

The Protest Voter

I think that what the most recent poll spoken about on the news on Wednesday shows is that there is a solid 8+% of voters that are Not voting for Tom Foley as of that poll. Good is that ALL 3 governor candidates were included in the poll for the first time which hasn’t been the case in the past polls.

On facebook it was said in one of many heated debates that votes for Visconti should be counted only as a Protest vote against the CT GOP candidate.

I think that man is on point for both this & the 2010 election that is not being considered – the votes given to Tom Marsh were a protest vote then & were people that Tom Foley failed to convince to vote for him.

This year is the same by the mere fact that Joe has been able to get on the ballot – those who are actively supporting Visconti are doing so because Foley has not been able to sell himself as the person that they should vote for; beating up Visconti supporters won’t change their minds & visa versa –

Malloy & the current administration including the majority of the general assembly is "the enemy" & everyone needs to focus upon fighting them & educating the public who aren’t a part of the facebook debates on why their chosen candidate is the choice to be made at the voting booth

CT GOP & our RTCs need to lift up our other candidates at both the state level & our congressional candidates as well.
CT Dems & their DTCs have a system in place to ensure that their candidates are known in the community & most likely voters. They have an organization in place that supports their candidates that is sorely lacking on the Republican side.

If you support Tom then get out there & support him in a productive manner that will win him votes.
The people who have been boots on the ground for Joe have put their money & time in to support him without bashing on people who support Tom.

My grandmother used to say "you get more bees with Honey than Vinegar"…

Foley supporters need to take her words of wisdom & work towards winning over voters instead of ranting against Visconti supporters.

Visconti supporters need to step up their game if they expect their message to get out to the voters & stop arguing with Foley supporters & get out there recruiting new voters.

It is disheartening to see all the fighting among people who have been friends & who have the same goals just different ideas on how to get there.
Stop bickering & Start working & Start getting ACTIVE….
