This warning has been given out back in November by me but this warning post from Kevin Brookman is worthy of a share because he actually has the press release in the article that he posted; in addition to his always worthy of a read even if you do not agree with him commentary.

There were 2 Reader comments plus his own reply that should get people asking some questions about our water bills….

Who are the people that are connected to the reasons why our water bills are going up higher than ever while their corporate buddies are getting a sweetheart deal at our expense….

MDC WARNS OF SUSPECTED IMPOSTERS
November 30, 2016
For Immediate Release
HARTFORD — The Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) is advising customers to be cautious of an individual posing as a water company employee in an attempt to enter residential homes.
On Tuesday, November 29, a male suspect claiming to be from the water company attempted to gain access to several Hartford apartments in the vicinity of James Street, telling the residents there was a problem with their water bill. No further details are available at this time.
The MDC urges all residents, especially those who are home during the day, to be alert for imposters by following these tips:
  • MDC field employees wear clothing and drive vehicles clearly marked with the MDC logo.
  • The MDC encourages customers to stay secure within the home while asking for identification from anyone who comes to their door.  All MDC employees have photo identification badges and will gladly display them upon request.  The policy is “No Identification – No Entry” .
  • If someone comes to your door claiming to be from the water company and you do not have a previously scheduled appointment, do not allow access to your home until calling the MDC Command Center at 860-278-7850 ext 3600 to verify their identity.
  • If you have any doubt about the individual’s identity or motives, or authenticity of their credentials, do not allow them entry into your home and call the police.
 
Maybe the next step should be to distribute a flyer of MDC Chairman Bill diBella and the MDC Commissioners to our suburban neighbors. The MDC’s plan to shove Hartford’s debt off onto member towns will cost residents more than any imposters ever could.

Mom Endorses Partnership

There are many educational options that are available to those with money but for those in the lower income brackets & higher family expenses there are few options…

If we stop pouring money into the failing public school system & instead focus upon the needs of the students rather than the wants of the public school administrators & teachers unions then positive changes will begin to happen; both in the public schools as they are forced to compete for the students as well for our families & children & our nation as a whole

Better Educated Students (rather than Indoctrinated & Socially Promoted Students) are able to make wiser decisions. They are able to either find work or create their own jobs by going into business for themselves.

With the recent court ruling; ordering CT to fix the problem of the funding of the schools & the disparity of the education offered throughout CT, by having the money follow the students parents will be able to choose the best educational options for their children. What is “Best” for our children many times does not coincide with what is “Best” for the Teachers Union or the promoters of the Common Core materials or what is “Best” for the Testing Companies – all of whom are looking out only for their “Best Interests” which to them are their taxpayer funded Paychecks.

Did CNN Crew just joke about Trump Plane Crashing?

Wow just at a loss for words at how disrespectful for life they are over at CNN & especially the life of the president of the USA is just beyond comprehension…

Wayne Dupree posted this clip of the CNN Reporter & her off camera producer speaking

I did see some articles pass through the social media timelines that mentioned a firing due to the off air remarks but to see that they got it on video… to see it is quite disappointing but this year seems to be just one big disappointment after another with the major media not acting as it should.

Seriously is it approriate to joke on the job about planes crashing, especially the presidents plane in this day of terrorism? 

During the set-up for Trump’s Carrier speech, at about the 1:20 mark, a producer in the background says,

“Trump’s Plane is about to land. If I do this, he’s landed”

And then she says, “If I do this, he’s crashed, hopefully.”

You can see Suzanne Malveaux snicker and roll her eyes when she hears this.

Quitting Smoking using Vaping eCigs 2015

Had this in drafts for the longest time & finally went ahead & published it

We’re in the process of becoming “Successful Quitters”

The only Quitting that is acceptable is quitting an addiction to cigarettes or any other unhealthy habit that has taken a strong hold in our lives.

Although not fully smoke free Hubby is almost & I have cut down on the number which I’ve been smoking with the help of the e-Cigs.

Think that in Jan we’ll try to totally give up the tobacco & just use the vaporizers until we can give those up too.

Anyone looking to also give up smoking in the coming new year? Want to start a “Quit Club”, a support group online & off to get through the rough patches? Any successful quitters want to chime in on how you dealt with the quitting process?
