Senator Tony Hwang Interviews Champagne Joy

This is a blast from the past – back in 2016 I posted this & with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month I’m reposting this positive video again

Cross posted item from another Tillett4CT project

Senator Tony Hwang spent some time interviewing “Champagne Joy” about surviving cancer earlier this year.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month & I thought that this video was a positive message to end the month of September with a positive note from a survivor as we head into October.

Will I see you wearing Pink this coming month?

Fwd: Malloy Budget Mess

Cross Posted Item from another Tillett for CT project

URGENT ALERT!
I’m forwarding this press release from the
CT GOP Chairman JR Romano
because it’s Very Important – URGENT
that you know what is coming in #MalloysMess
I’ve highlighted in Bold & Yellow the outrageous cuts that Malloy has in store for our families.
Urgent Action on your part is required: You need to Call the office of the governor and tell him that what he is planning is not acceptable and tell him to #StopHurtingFamilies
Once again this is an attack on our poor working families in CT! While the budget protects the cronies who got him elected; our families, our veterans, our seniors, our children are all under attack in this plan! Our most vulnerable who can’t afford to send lots of money to the democrat election coffers are being attacked by these DANGEROUS Cuts.!
Malloy is STEALING Our Taxes to pay off his Special Interest Groups and keep the special projects that benefit his crony friends! Malloy is clearly showing that he
Does NOT CARE ABOUT OUR FAMILIES!!
Another example of just how devoid of empathy and out of touch these democrats are in CT and across the land.

Dan Malloy’s “Mini-Budget” Is A Slap in The Face For the People of Connecticut

HARTFORD –  After failing to build a consensus for a bipartisan budget deal to address the massive deficit caused by his disastrous tax-and-spend policies, Democrat governor Dan Malloy is putting forth<http://portal.ct.gov/Office-of-the-Governor/Press-Room/Press-Releases/2017/06-2017/Gov-Malloy-Releases-Detailed-July-1-Spending-Plan-Alongside-Proposed-Mini-Budget-Alternative> a “Resource Allocation Plan” to put in place with the expectation that he will not be able to pass a budget.

But while Malloy’s plan protects his big union allies, it leaves the rest of Connecticut out to dry, making massive cuts to education funding, law enforcement, much needed aid for cities and towns across the state, and even ethics funding despite having himself been the subject of an investigation.

Here are just some of the main items for the most recent item of Dan Malloy’s catastrophic agenda for Connecticut:

>   $7.4 million in cuts to Care4Kids TANF/CCDF

>   $14,804,521 in cuts to Temporary Family Assistance

>   $175,523 in cuts to the Election Enforcement Commission

>   $15,698 in cuts to the Office of State Ethics (B-9)

>   Eliminates property tax relief for veterans

>   $3,324,998 in cuts to the Division of Criminal Justice

>   Eliminates funding for Connecticut’s Youth Employment Program and Opportunities for Long Term Unemployed

>   Eliminates funding for the Office of Protection and Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities

>   Eliminates Department of Social Services funding for Protective Services for the Elderly

>   Cuts $515,833,717 in Department of Education funding for Education Equalization Grants

>   Cuts $1,212,066 in Department of Education funding for the American School for the Deaf

>   Cuts $42,337,171 in Department of Education funding for priority school districts

>   Cuts $28,701,582 in funding for the University of Connecticut

>   Cuts $14,774,971 in funding for the University of Connecticut Health Center
>   Adds $278,267,000 in retirement contributions for the Teacher’s Retirement Board

>   Increases spending on debt service by $304,937,812

>   Keeps $293,577,508 in reserve for salary adjustments

W Htfd mtg 2016 – Bronin Pushing Regionalism – Ed Peruta Off the Cuff – TBT

ThrowBack Thursday –

Reminder post of when #BrokeBronin started on his #BeggingForBailOuts tour back in Dec 2016 –

So what are you going to do about it, keep on allowing these wasteful corrupt cities in CT to steal more & more from your family or is it time for a #FreshNewStart ?

Had Enough Yet?

Cross posted item from another Tillett4CT project

Have you been following what is happening over in Hartford’s city hall?

Well if you’re a taxpaying property owner;
you need to wake up &
start asking some questions
of your mayor & town council
(especially if they are democrats)
because many have already gone on record volunteering YOU & Your Family
to pay higher taxes
so that you can pay for
HARTFORD’s money mismanagement, & decades of corruption…

YES That’s Right …

You Don’t get to VOTE in Hartford
but YOUR TAXES will be going up
so that YOU can Pay
“Your Fair Share”
of Hartford’s Mismanaged “Bills”!

You won’t have a voice in how that money is misspent (that’s what they do there)
BUT each year
Your Family will have Less & Less
while #BrokeBronin & his cohorts
get to Spend More & More

If you Do Not Speak Up Now
Then YOU subject your family forever
to the whims of the corruption going on down in Hartford’s city halls…
More backroom failed stadium deals
More tax increases to pay higher salaries
More tax increases to pay for more scandals

The choice is yours
Speak Up NOW…
 or
Forever be subjected
to the continued mismanagement &
added tax increases circle

Can YOUR Family Afford to Pay More Taxes for Hartford’s Money Mismanagement?

#TBT Another Budget What Has Changed in 2018?

This is another year of crazy budget talks for the cities and the state.

So this #TBT (even if it is off for days) is a reminder of what last year looked like here in CT.

The below is the link to the We the People blog post. That post had the notice about the budget talks from #BrokeBronin with his attached letter.

After a year what positive changes are you seeing after they gouged us last year? Have you seen any improvement in your family’s lives or budget?

#TaxationIsTheft and the democrat officials seem to have that theft down to a science. They know how to hide the costs when it comes to hiding the true costs in the budget from us who are paying the bills for these bad budgets.

If your family is being hurt by the rising costs of energy, food, and gas, etc, etc, you only have to thank the democrats. Democrats have been in power for over 40 years in the general assembly. If you voted for the democrats then you have only yourself to blame for the pain your family is feeling.

This is an election year… YOU can correct Your Mistakes

YOU need to start now researching and asking questions. Learn about how the people that you have voted for, have in fact hurt your family in their votes for the budgets and laws of the past.

Then make certain that you tell your family and friends who NOT to Vote For… Any Democrat that has voted to increase your taxes or put forth a bill that was intended to increase the cost of the government! Those are bills which raised the costs for your family to live in CT!

Your Vote is Your Voice, You have a Choice so Choose Wisely

#TBT – Turbo Tax: The Rap (Extended Version)

This #ThrowBackThursday is in the spirit of fun over the “necessary evil” of paying the federal income taxes.

Do you live in a high state income tax state or a no income tax state?

How long has your state had it’s income tax? Add your comments below so we can talk about taxes in our states.

I recall back in the 90’s when I was busy raising young children when Connecticut became an income tax state.

It was a very nasty election year with Lowell Weicker winning the race for governor simply because he LIED about being willing to veto or sign an income tax bill, he claimed he was against starting an income tax in CT.

Then once he was elected in to office he started with the push to start the income tax rather than getting the state spending at a level that matched or was less than the amount of taxes collected each year.

Do you do your own taxes or do you pay a tax preparer?

If you do your taxes yourself do you use one of the popular tax preparer computer programs such as TurboTax?

Which program do you prefer to use?

But remember #TaxationIsTheft in our current system

Cross Posted Item from another Tillett for CT project

With April 18th being the due date this year for our taxes quickly approaching…

I thought I’d share this video from Remy about the craziness that we all feel about how the chore of doing the yearly taxes…

Do you do your own taxes or do you pay someone else to do them for you?
