We need a person that is part of the regular working class people fighting for our families up at the capitol because the career politicians have made a mess of our state.

We need a person with a Fresh New View; someone who will ask the questions “Why do we need it?” & more importantly “How much will it cost taxpayers or affect businesses?”

We need a person that is not owing favors to special interests but is answerable to the people who live in the district & understands that not everything that glitters is gold nor a good idea for our families that are already having problems paying their bills.

Alveda King on Common Core

Dr Alveda King talks about Common Core in this video

She does not feel that this is a good educational option for our children, especially children of color who are already in disadvantaged urban schools

Our children deserve Quality Education.
Our parents deserve to have the option to send their children to Quality Schools rather than being forced to stay in the union corporations being run by the government.
Our parents DESERVE to be able to CHOOSE the school their child attends.

The tax payer money that is being shelled out should be going to the Quality Schools that parents want their children attending not only to the union corporations being run by the government. The Unions in the Government Schools care only about money instead of teaching our children the skills they need to learn to become productive self reliant individuals that can run businesses of their own creations.

Why are there UnContested Races in CT?

It is true there are too many UnContested Races in CT’s General Assembly this year & in years past & if things do not change this will be the future as well…

The July 21st article in the Hartford Courant  http://www.courant.com/opinion/op-ed/hc-ed-too-many-ct-seats-uncontested-0721-20160720-story.html

points out that “due to apathy” & “lack of leadership” seats are going uncontested during a year when there should be not only full ballots but also high voter turnout since it is a presidential election year

Copied & pasted from the article 
“What a shame, then, that more than 25 percent of the House seats will go unchallenged by a major-party candidate, along with four seats in the Senate.“

& also this from the article
” 16 Democrats will run unopposed by a Republican, nearly all of them incumbents, according to preliminary information from the secretary of the state’s office. “

Shame on the local party leadership for not running full tickets; 
but also shame on the cities & towns people that have not stepped up to run for office.

“We the People” means that each citizen has a responsibility to take some small part in running the country;
That means not just showing up once every couple of years to vote a party line without knowing what the issues are but attending town & even state level meetings at the town halls & state capitol.

What are You going to do to change the “defeatist” attitude that is running rampant in our state?
