Why we do we Remember Memorial Day?

To many of our school children in our modern day with the proper history of American and world history no longer being taught, the reason for the holiday is.

There are too many children no longer having actual knowledge of what wars of our recent past have been like as the older generations are dying off.

As the “community memory” of our elders die off the reason we celebrate Memorial Day is becoming lost to only being the reason that the family gathers and has a BBQ after going out shopping the sales…

It’s almost 2 years later in the CT General Assembly… what has changed?

Not much the State of CT is STILL OverSpending and the budget troubles are STILL Going On

and of course

there are Many New Taxes

that are still being tossed around

by the out of touch #DemcratsRaisingTaxesAgain

Call the Capitol in Hartford

better yet go in person if you can

Tell the General Assembly members

#TBT – Turbo Tax: The Rap (Extended Version)

This #ThrowBackThursday is in the spirit of fun over the “necessary evil” of paying the federal income taxes.

Do you live in a high state income tax state or a no income tax state?

How long has your state had it’s income tax? Add your comments below so we can talk about taxes in our states.

I recall back in the 90’s when I was busy raising young children when Connecticut became an income tax state.

It was a very nasty election year with Lowell Weicker winning the race for governor simply because he LIED about being willing to veto or sign an income tax bill, he claimed he was against starting an income tax in CT.

Then once he was elected in to office he started with the push to start the income tax rather than getting the state spending at a level that matched or was less than the amount of taxes collected each year.

Do you do your own taxes or do you pay a tax preparer?

If you do your taxes yourself do you use one of the popular tax preparer computer programs such as TurboTax?

Which program do you prefer to use?

Election Night Parties?

Many of the Republican Town Committees &/or Candidates across the state are having Election Night Parties at their Head Quarters or at one of the local restaurants in the area

If you do not live in an area where there is going to be an election night party consider having one for your family & friends to watch the results come in together
