1st Congressional CT GOP Governor Candidate Debate Video

The CT GOP is trying something new this election season with the governorship at stake…

For the first time they had on Facebook Live streaming on both the Fox61 & CT GOP pages the video streaming of some of their candidates debating.

First Congressional District Governor Candidate Debate at the Windsor Public High School 6pm to 9pm .

Only a few of the candidates were up on stage because they met the fundraising qualifications set by the party chairman. My understanding is that $75,000.00 minimum had to have been raised to be invited to the debate. There is a combination of both Declared as well as those who only have Exploratory Committees.

Declared Governor Candidate Joe Visconti who did not meet the fundraising qualifications was doing a competing Live Stream on his facebook page so that his critique of the candidates, their answers and some rebuttal to the debate questions – this is similar to what Jill Stein did back in 2016 when she was excluded from the debates.

Below is the video of the debate so that you can watch.

The CT GOP Chairman had a private poll after the debate which the results are being touted on the CT GOP facebook page but sadly the wider republican voting body was not privy to that poll which is quite disappointing. I hope that a better for CT GOP members poll will be emailed out for a true measure of who are the debate winners.

Holiday Traditions at Our Home Thanksgiving Day

We’re people with various traditions according to what our own families did before us.

Then combined with the traditions that our spouses have grown up with & creating our own as we become adults with our own families… some items pass on to the new generations some others die out as our elders pass on.

What traditions have you kept with your family in these modern times?

Some Traditions in our home watching Christmas Specials & Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade & of course the pups on the Dog Show afterwards (0;} The men folk still watch the NFL games to cheer on their teams & check on their Fantasy Football

Windsor Please Write in Paul Panos on 11-7-17

I’m not certain of the process to officially be a

“Write In Candidate” or how a draft campaign works

But I am going to

Write in Paul Panos

for the Windsor Board of Ed

Why you ask would I write in a candidate that dropped off the ballot… because I know that he cares about the education of our children and he is willing to fight for the wiser spending of our tax dollars at the Windsor public school system…

He was initially on the ballot but he stepped down because he had surgery that was preventing him from the campaigning around the town that needed to be done.

I’m writing in Paul Panos for Board of Ed
because I think that if enough of us do write him in,
now that he’s feeling better and able to get around that
he will agree to serve for another term!
Help me test my theory and

Write in Paul Panos for Board of Ed on Nov 7th 2017!

We Need a CHANGE in WINDSOR!
Tell ALL your family and friends to

when he ran for State Rep in the 5th District…

Get Out the Vote CT on 11-7-17

Remember Next week Tuesday is Election Day.

We are less than a week away from this year’s municipal elections. Many towns also have ballot questions that need to have a Yes or No Vote in addition to the candidates to be selected on the ballots so research that.

Have you decided upon who you will casting your votes this year?  Have you researched any ballot questions as well?

Make certain to put on your calendar to get out to vote this year. Your Vote is Your Voice so if you’re tired of increasing taxes and getting less services,

Election Day is the Day to make the elected officials hear your opinion… #MakeCityHallListen!

Democrats Hurting CT Families Day 102? Still No Budget

It is very sad day in CT when our democrat elected officials absolutely refuse to work to #OverRideTheVeto of the Balanced Budget that the Republicans put forward which was passed by both houses of the General Assembly simply because it came from the Republican side of the aisle.

Wethersfeild, Windsor and Bloomfield residents I do hope that you are watching how our elected officials are behaving in this press conference – notice who is present and who is not…

State Senator Doug McCrorey & State Rep Brandon McGee are both front and center basically speaking about voting against the Towns which they are also supposed to represent. They’re basically stating that their interests are only for HARTFORD with no mention of the towns which are in their districts as well.

McCrorey & McGee have given no consideration to the fact that the majority of the Windsor and Bloomfield (who are part of their districts) residents are home/major property owners are already bailing out Hartford due to the late/unpaid water bills from the city of Hartford which are majority renters living there that do not pay property taxes and water bills.

How out of touch are these democrats?

They refuse to vote to override the veto of a balanced budget which does not raise taxes.

They refuse to vote to override the veto so they can instead save their precious campaign funding goodie jar at taxpayer expense aka the C.E.P.

Our taxpaying families NEED a tax break yet they do not take our families needs into consideration

Bloomfield’s other state senator Beth Bye and state rep David Baram are not present at this press conference because their districts do not go into Hartford.

Windsor’s  other state reps Scott Storms (my state rep is doing a great job updating us on what’s going on up at the capitol) & Tammi Zawistowski as well as state senator John Kissel  also do not border in Hartford.

What our elected officials SHOULD be doing instead of grandstanding in front of the TV cameras is fighting to help their constituents.

How can they stand there in front of the tv cameras telling everyone that they represent in the other towns do not matter to them?
