  • First Night Hartford is a non-profit organization run by a Board of Directors which produces this cherished landmark New Year’s Eve celebration.

First Night is a family-friendly,alcohol free community celebration of the New Year through the arts. It is a major visual and performing arts festival created by and for the community to welcome in the New Year. It is a celebration that marks the passage from the old year to the new with art, ritual and festivity. The name “First Night” symbolizes this forward look, over the technically correct “Last Night”.
